After integrating the possibility of developing plans, video games and appointments in group discussions, Mark Zuckerberg’s social network has taken a step forward to unite (still more) Facebook friends. As it has done on previous occasions, the social network has decided to create a new application to counteract the success of other platforms. This time the social network giant Facebook faces ‘Houseparty’. The ‘Bonfire’ app is already operational. However, at the moment it is only available in the App Store of Denmark. Therefore, the social network has decided to test this application for the first time in Denmark before making the leap to the rest of the world. Under the motto ‘Your friends, your fire’, this application allows users to chat with several Facebook friends at the same time. Like ‘Houseparty’, which has been rocking for half a year in the UK, the new Facebook application divides the screen between the friends that make up the conversation so you can face each of them. In addition, as it is explained by The Next Web, this app also allows to communicate through 3D stickers and masks (glasses, hats, hearts etc) and share multimedia files as images of Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. After being consulted by the media, a spokesman for the company has confirmed that the first test is being conducted in Denmark: “We are conducting a very small test in Denmark of an application we call Bonfire. We have nothing more to share in this moment”. Meanwhile, the record says that the social network giant Facebook published a poll last March asking users about their experience using Houseparty. At the same time, the social network has had “several conversations” with the Houseparty team, so it would be interested in integrating it into their applications, which are increasingly important both in number and popularity. So, what do you think about this new application? Simply share your views and thoughts in the comment section below.
